HPE OneView Upgrade Path

HPE OneView - Product Lifecycle and Upgrade paths

Refer below link to determine the upgrade paths for HPE OneView, excluding HPE Synergy. Yes cells indicate a supported upgrade path. Empty cells in the tables indicate that the upgrade path is not supported.

Note:

Before performing an HPE OneView update, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends the user to use the HPE OneView Update Readiness Checker. The Update Readiness Checker evaluates the health of an HPE OneView appliance for a set of known conditions before proceeding with an appliance update.

Re: HPE OneView Upgrade Path

FYI, that link no longer is active.  It re-directs a few times to some place that will not let us in without further permission.  Can you make this document available again for us please?  I think this may be the current document?  HPE OneView Product Lifecycle

[Moderator note: Broken links fixed.]

While waiting for the document, does anyone know if I can go directly from 5.60 to 6.40?  If I read that correctly, I think I need to go to 6.00 then 6.30 before moving up to 6.60.   Does that sound correct.  If so, in HPE OneView Archive I don't see either of those updates.  I also can't seem to find them in the products download section of HPE support.

Thanks!

Re: HPE OneView Upgrade Path

What are you waiting for?  The original link points to the one you posted.  There is nothing further and it has the table with the answers for upgrade paths.   You must go through the "milestone" releases as you indicated.

We're looking into why the archive stops at 6.1

Re: HPE OneView Upgrade Path

Well, the link gives me this error:

Document not available

Please check the Document ID or your account permissions.

Anyone have a working upgrade patch? I want to upgrade oneview from 5.3 to whatever, and having a good upgrade path minimizes unnecessary downloads

Re: HPE OneView Upgrade Path

FYI. The link seems again to be invalid.
It still loads, but it no longer includes OV to OV upgrade Matrix, now it only contains OV to OVGD upgrade matrix.

Re: HPE OneView Upgrade Path

A moderator edited the broken links to the incorrect lifecycle page.  All the links in this email thread [at the time of this reply] were incorrectly edited.

The HPE OneView lifecycle and upgrade paths correct link is: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-a00117617en_us

Re: HPE OneView Upgrade Path

Mr HPE-Pro,

can you help me plan for my OneView upgrade. Right now we have version 5.00.02-0418011 (very old) and it seems that we wanted to upgrade to 6.5. at this point.   How does my upgrade path would look like?  Do I need to upgrade first to a certain release of 5.x to be able to upgrade to 6.5 eventually? Can you help with this or should I ask HPE Tech Support? What are my options. I really hope that HPE can clarify this with me.

Thank you.

Regards,

Daniel
