SNMP trap forward by OneView to NNMi, why Source_IP column in SNMP trap not IP of OneView

My OneView forward SNMP traps that its receive from iLO  to  NNMi,  we thought, OneView is  SNMP Proxy role,  the SNMP traps that OneView forward  should have  Device IP address column  (or  Source IP address)  shown as  OneView IP address,    whereas  Original IP address shown as iLO IP address ...   but unfortunately ,  both IP address column shown as  iLO IP address ..     is it a software bug of OneView ?   how to solve this issue ?

This is as intended:  HPE OneView is an SNMP trap forwarder.  The original device is reported in the trap and that is simply forwarded and not re-written.

What @DanCernese stated is correct.  HPE OneView does not generate SNMP traps.  Instead, it forwards iLO Traps (if configured to do so), or customers must rely upon either using one or a combination of the folllowing to get alerts out of the HPE OneView appliance:

  • RabbitMQ client to connect to the appliance State Change Message Bus (SCMB)
  • REST API queries
  • Email (SMTP) alerts
