Good day
Does anyone know if there is a limitation of cloning a Oracle DB to a target server where the source Oracle DB is running on exported snapshots, not base volumes?
I have tried this clone and repeatedly got the below error where I did not get the problem cloning another Oracle DB running of base volumes
Its RMC-O and physical servers, not virtual environment

Re: Recovery Manager Central Oracle DB cloning
Hello @CRD,
I am not aware of any such limits. Not come across anybody hit such limit either. I will try to check about this further thought. Do you have the logs handy to check the error details?

Srinivas Bhat

SolutionGood day
Just want to post feedback here as received from HPE support team for visibility
Clone of exported snap volumes is in turn a clone and here exported snap volume is a clone and RMC does not support clone of a clone. RMC supports clone on the base volumes. This is as per design.
Thanks
