Schedule a 1 time Simplivity backup of VM at specific time

Hello,

We have a bunch of backup policies for our VMs and they are working fine. We have a scenario where we are doing some code updates for some specific VM's and wondering how we can schedule a backup to run at a specific time without either adding a new rule to existing backup policy and or manually doing the backup when they need it. I thought there was a way to say schedule a simplivity backup and have it run at specified time just the 1 time.  Maybe I'm wrong here?

Any explanations or suggestions is welcomed. If I must add a new rule to take another backup at a specific time for my policy I can do that but I would rather not because that means I have to put certain VM's into the new rule that also contains rules for existing rule then change it back to use original rule.

Hello @jfer2022 ,

You can manually backup a virtual machine by right clicking on the VM, select "All HPE SimpliVity Actions">Back Up Virtual Machine. Then follow the menus on screen.

You can also make a rule and set the "Server Start Time" and "Server Stop Time" to specific hours of your preference. You can run the backup daily, hourly, etc.
