Connected server changes name to dns server name

Hello,

Been having issues adding some servers to IRS,

When i add them the it shows up as it should but after a while it resets and defaults to the DNS server.

tried nmultiple things like making sure that only the server subnet is allowed in discovery but doesnt seem to work properly.

Is there just something i have missed? it does this for several servers and all of them get the same name, and then their ip changes to the DNS server, removing the servers i want to actually add.

/Karl

Re: Connected server changes name to dns server name

Hello @Karl_Jonsson,

Is that the new installation?

If it is an existing set-up and you are facing issue now, any idea what changes (changes in DNS or any other network resources) caused the issue?

@sbhat09

Hello,

It is a new installation of IRS,

There is one thing i have noticed between the machines that work and those that dont, and that is that the iLo is on another vlan than the server itself, could that cause issues with discovery?
