zone alarm pro

with the start up of my pc, zonealarm ask if I want to "allow generic host process for win 32 services to act as a server" I have not a clue about anything related to pc's. For me it is like a car, I know how to drive but nothing about mechanics. Would someone tell me what this process does?

No, you don't need it to act as a server, I have mine allowed to access, but not act a server. PS, when I didn't allow it to access (dsl) I couldn't sync my time..
