Hi everyone,
I’m working with an HPE MSA 1040 that has two controllers. Each controller has 2 Fibre Channel ports and 1 Ethernet port. My question is, can I use the Ethernet port for iSCSI connections, or is it strictly for web management?
I’ve tried a few methods to enable iSCSI, but I can't find anything related to iSCSI in the management interface or in the SSH commands. It seems like iSCSI isn't available in the settings, and I’m wondering if the Ethernet port is just for management purposes or if there's something I’m missing.
Has anyone had experience with this? Would appreciate any help!
Thanks!

SolutionHello,
so this Ethernet port is really only intended for management and can not be used for iSCSI.
In contrast to the MSA 2040, which had a 4-port Converged SAN Controller with support for FC and/or iSCSI, the MSA 1040 only had a 2-port controller, which could do either iSCSi or FC, depending on what you bought at the time.
