How/when does an MSA2060 release used disk that's been deleted?
Our MSA2060 is currently struggling due to over commitment and running out of physical space.
I've been deleting data from the file system associated with one particular volume, so it's now has ~900GB free, however the MSA is still showing as nearly 100% utilised.
Is there a process that runs (or can be run) on the MSA to make it realise that the storage is "free" for use elsewhere?
I tried filling the unused space with zeroes, which hasn't had any impact (yet).
Cheers,
Rob

Hi,
no on the MSA, but on the Server, use sdelete in Widnows or "esxcli storage vmfs unmap -l" in ESX.
