updated firmware on HP P2000 G3 with two controllers. All the documentaion says that you upgrade firmware on one controller would update on the other as well. But when I upgraded, it just did for controller A with out changing firmware on controller B. This is in production so what is the best way to bring the controllers to the same version or is it okay to leave it as it is

Re: Hp P2000 Firmware
How did you the update? FTP, Windows tool, Webpage?
Both must have the same version.
Upgrade the second now or enable PFU (partner firmware update).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Hp P2000 Firmware
The windows tool should update both controller, unless the process is interrupted.
I would now extract the firmware file TS240P004-02.bin and use ftp to update.
> ftp P2000-controllerB
> user / password
> bin
> put TS240P004-02.bin flash
wait until the update has finsihed, check
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

SolutionYes, the other controller takes the ownership of the vdisks. The multipathing software will handle this.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.
