HPE MSA2050 SAS - How to turn off a Hdd in production?

Hi ALL,

I need a help for this issue:

Customer has a MSA2050 SAS connection, we have a specific DG with 11 disks in raid6, the MSA has a Global spare configured.

There is a disk in this DG of 2TB shows me a latency of 60ms to 200ms , what became the DG very slow and causing problems of host diconections!

So, this disk is operational, but id like to replace one with another with the same part number!

How is online and operational, what is the command line to turn one off line?

When off line, i will replace one to another new disk to resolve the latency problems!

Is there a CLI to get a disk off line ?

Best Regards,

Carlos Oliveira.

Hi

if you have a global spare you can just remove the disk and the global spare

will replace it.

I don't think there is a better way.
