The USB Driver is not needed unless you are running Windows 7/8 or Windows Server 2012 or earlier.
Windows will see the USB Serial port in the Device Manager in the current OSes
Linux will see the TTY device

The don't seem to install on windows 10 or 11.  "The error says VSS provider could not be installed. Do you want to connect?"

The VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) provider is used for inband snapshot creation. A Windows 10 or 11 system is not a supported OS for connectivity to the MSA.
Are you still having issues connecting to the MSA Mini-USB port or is this a different question?

I still cannot connect to the USB port. I'll see if i can find an old copy of windows 7
