MSA2312fc - how to find which exactly host is connected to array?

Hi all

We have 3x MSA2312fc

Each one have two controllers A & B

How to find from web interface or CLI interface via ssh

which exactly Winows and Linux hosts are connected to the array?

or

Shoud I search on the all Windows and Linux hosts one by one and try to find which one

is connected to the specific one of the three arrays?

How to find from Windows and Linux hosts if they are connected to array and which exactly array?

(On all three arrays we have almost similiar HOST ID / Names visible

in the secion "Hosts" of the web interface - it looks like on the attachement)

Re: MSA2312fc - how to find which exactly host is connected to array?

You should have the chance when creating your vdisks (or afterwards) to map them each to whichever host(s) you want to.  They'll be zoned by WWN, so if you're attached via a fabric/fiber switch and have to change ports, they'll still be visible to your host(s).  If I recall, the default mode for MSA2000 series systems' vdisks is to be presented to all hosts automatically, which doesn't work for everyone.

You're going to have to do some legwork to figure out which port WWN corresponds to which HBA on each host, etc. and then you'll know which LUNs are mapped to which hosts (if they're not already mapped to all hosts)
