NEWLY MSA 2060 scrubbing take forever!!

Hi,

I got a newly MSA 2060 10G ISCSI.

installed with MSA-DP+ array of 12 SAS 12G 2TB Disks

The array isn't in use already  even no volumes there ye, only a disk group.

array running from yesterday with "Scrubbing" (what the hell its scrubbing there is no data !!, also just management port is connected even 10G ports aren;t connected!)  and stuck from ~8AM (its now 17:20PM down here) at 58% with no progress.

firmware is IN210P001 in both controllers.

any ideas ??

Subside note: I'm trying for almost 2 days to get license from HPE licensing portal wihh no luck, it keeps throwing a message "ts it cannot process your request at this time.". so frustrating!!!!

What is scrubbing?
Scrubbing is a process of reading the RAID stripes, even with no data, and validing the parity.  If the stripe parity is correct then NO disk in the stripe set is having a data issue with that specific area of storage.  If there is a problem then the READ of the stripe will induce the drive to attempt self-correction if that fails then the system can attempt a re-write of the data based on parity,  if that fails then the drive can be marked faulted.
Why scrubbing?
Scrubbing will READ through the entire disk-group and validate all sections of drives.  It would be bad to store data for a while then when you finally go to READ/Need the data you find that one or more drives have issues and the data is unrecoverable.
How does scrubbing work?
The MSA 2060 Storage Management Guide has a good description of the process. https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00128580en_us&docLocale=en_US
"The disk-group scrub task is almost continually active..."
Scrubbing task will be almost continual but the activity will be metered.  Scrubbing is designed to complete over a specified timeframe, based on drive usage limits.  If the task is running faster and will complete sooner than the overall timeframe then the task will pause and resume at a later time.
At all times the scrub task is designed to defer to host I/O.

On the licensing issue, have you tried using the CHAT option?  I know chatting with BOT is sometimes taxing but is a path in to get support.
