I've upgraded firmware, rebooted the hosts (which run server 2019), rebooted SAN controllers.
Anyone have any recommendations on how to get these host ports live?

The SYSTEM RECOMMENDED is a Bot answer.
But now, first check, if there is a Light on the Cable and SFP Ports.
Be sure that Light goes to no Light, I use my Handy Camera for this.
If there is no Light on the MSA or Server we can check the next.
See attached Picture.

Re: Query: Unable to ge FC ports up on HPE MSA 2060 and HP ProLiant DL380 Gen 10
If nothing is defective, there are usually two reasons:
The Cable is wrong, the Light goes to Light, or if the HBA has no Light, this is usually, because the driver is not loaded.

Re: Query: Unable to ge FC ports up on HPE MSA 2060 and HP ProLiant DL380 Gen 10
So its a dual port SN1100Q HBA adapter. Wouldn't the drivers be loaded already if ports 1 on the HBAs are live and active to the 1040 MSA? Just trying to figure out if there's something I'm missing on the hosts that's causing port 2 on the HBA to be disabled. I've gone into the BIOS and checked all settings, but everything looked normal.
I will check the lights, cables, and sfps and report back.

Yes, if the Driver is loaded, both Ports go on.

Re: Unable to get FC ports up on HPE MSA 2060 and HP ProLiant DL380 Gen 10
Hi,
SN1100Q Firmware and driver combo listed as compatible with Windows 2019(in HPE SPOCK ) when connected to MSA 2060 FC is 01.77.12 / 9.4.6.20 or 1.75.07/9.4.2.20.
Please ensure that you are using multimode Fibre cable.
Is MSA 2060 reporting incompatible SFP error on any of the host ports?
From server ilo menu > System Information > Network tab check whether the link status of second port of SN1100Q card is down.
Please share the HPE part number of the SFP module installed in port 2 of SN1100Q card.
There are few possibilities here:
1. Faulty SFP module installed on port 2 of SN1100Q FC HBA card.
2. Faulty port on SN1100Q card.
If 2 different host servers are reporting same issue, it would be better to log a hardware support case to investigate the issue further.

Re: Unable to get FC ports up on HPE MSA 2060 and HP ProLiant DL380 Gen 10
So this is a 2 node cluster, which is currently connected to an MSA 1040 SAN on ports 1 of the HBA cards on the hosts.
We are replacing the 1040 with a 2060. Current firmware on the hosts are 1.70.85. I upgraded to the lastest firmware over the weekend to 02.00.01 to host 1, but port is still showing down in iLO. There is no error present on the MSA. It recognizes the SFPs installed, but shows disconnected. It's like this on both hosts.
I also installed QConvergeConsole Agent and QCC console GUI on host 1. Went into GUI for this and looked at HBA statuses on host 1. Gatherings logs. Running diagnostics on port. Diagnostics show port has good temp, voltage, and Rx power. Tx Bias and Tx power showing fault. Trying to get this fixed but nothing is working. Checking config and referencing from port 1 on HBA which is active. Port still not coming up.
The fiber cables being used are OM4s. Ive reset the host ports on the MSA, rebooted the controller they are connected to, but no go. Same status.
I have a ticket in with HP on this already, and they requested logs from the MSA, but I haven't heard back from them. Currently I have an engineer going onsite to check lights on the SFPs and cables on the MSA and hosts. It's just really strange that ports 1 on the HBAs are good on both hosts, but port 2 won't come up for anything. Even after the firmware upgrade on host 1, port 1 on the HBA (that is connected to the MSA 1040) came right up.

Re: Unable to get FC ports up on HPE MSA 2060 and HP ProLiant DL380 Gen 10
Here is the latest:
I have troubleshooted with an onsite technician, and verified bad SFP modules on the HPE Proliant ML380 host servers on HBA cards.
What I had the tech do was verify light coming out of the SFP modules on the hosts themselves, and the SAN. Light was not present on the SFP modules on the hosts. Had technician hook up fiber from SFP module on HBA and no light was showing at the other end of the fiber.
I had the technician remove an SFP module from the SAN, and plug this into the HBA port 2 on the host, confirmed light from the SFP, and then connected fiber cables and the port came up.

SolutionHi,
Thank you for the update. MSA SFP is not compatible with SN1100Q card. However, as per the tests done so far the issue seems to be with SFP module itself. Please work with HPE support team to get the HBA SFP module replaced.

Update on this:
Ordered the new SFPs. Overnight shipping. Came in this morning.
Had onsite tech replace SFPs on both HBA ports 2 of hosts. Verified light. Hooked up to SAN, and waaalaaa. Connection to SAN is good now, and showing up.

Re: Unable to get FC ports up on HPE MSA 2060 and HP ProLiant DL380 Gen 10
Hi,
That's great news.
SFP modules should be covered by the HBA card/server warranty.
Please work with support team to get replacement SFP modules which might be useful in the future.
