Netserver 5/166 LC NVRam bad - run configuration utility

I am running NT Server 4.0 on this server. I am unable to boot - NVRam bad. When you turn on the server, it says EISA configuration NVRam bad - run configuration utility. I don't know how to get into the config. utility (it doesn't say press F2 or anything like that). I do not have a Navigator CD and the Navigator CD was never used on this server. Help please!!! I am at a loss and don't know what to do. Thanks!

You need Eisa Configuration Utility (ECU) to configure this server. You can download it from netserver support site. It starts from bootable diskette, so you do not need NetServer Navigator.

I have already tried running the ECU on this server. When you try running this, it expands and reads and writes, but then freezes at 56%. If you try running this file (downloaded from HP) you will see what I am talking about. Please try it so that you can see. I am running out of ideas... HELP!!!

I downloaded and tested the LC ECU it worked fine but I think you may have an LC plus you might try that ECU it seems to be a different version. I downloaded the LC plus ECU and made the floppy fine but I do not have one to test it out with at this point in time.

Thanks anyway. I just need to clear the CMOS and the NVRam. I don't know which switch # it is though. Does anyone know? Thanks!

Keck,

Does the Netraid show "NVRaM config. mismatch"?

If that is so, then go into Ctrl-M, objects, physical drive. Make the state of the drive if online if failed and vica versa. this only counts if the error message "NVram mismatch".
