Stop:0x0000007B.. INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE ON

I have this inaccessible problem after Windows Install process copied the initial files, rebooted and then I selected Windows 2000 from the startup menu. It reads all the drivers first. I started the install process from the CD-ROM on NT 4. What should I do?

Re: Stop:0x0000007B.. INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE ON

hi
I do not understand how you try to install NT4 or W2k, anyway this error is tipicaly generate because the Os cannot manage the disk.
check if the disk is seen and/or partitioned, check if it is the first on the boot order (after CD)
if all is ok, the problem is probably related to the driver of the bootable device that is not correct or not installed.
Press F6 at when installing NT to specify additionals drives

Re: Stop:0x0000007B.. INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE ON

Yes this could be a driver issue, incorrect driver being installed and access is lost (use the Navigator disk can help or download the lastest driver pack for your Netserver).
Also it could be that you have installed the OS in a partition that is larger that the 1024th cylinder. NT has a physical limitation, the boot sector can not reside in a partition the extends past this physical cylinder 1024. The actual size is actually dependant on the hard drive. Try a 1GB smaller partition if the drivers do not help

Re: Stop:0x0000007B.. INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE ON

Thanks for your responses. Again, the Netserver is presently running fine with NT4 server. The problem occurs when I try to upgrade to Win 2000 advance server. I am about to hit F6 and load the SCSI driver mannualy. Where can I get a copy of txtsetup.oem file? Thanks for your help.

Re: Stop:0x0000007B.. INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE ON

upgrades are not supported by HP, good luck. You can find drivers for your system available here:
