Storage appliance (non-Windows)

I'm looking for a lower end storage appliance that is not a server. Just a box that can be attached to the network to provide more space. Any suggestions?

You mean a box with several disks and a network connection, like this?

Most disk makers like Maxtor, Iomega, etc have things like this.
