The outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus has rippled across the world, triggering a global health emergency. With the rising fears of a worldwide pandemic, medical authorities around the world are leaving no stone unturned to contain the spread of this deadly virus. According to reports, medical researchers are now turning to technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) to predict how preventive measures can have the greatest effect. It is also being used to search for existing drugs that might help to curb the spread of this virus.

With the help of AI, researchers can collect appropriate data or information on human movement from airline records and traffic information. According to China's National Health Commission (NHC), โ€œUse big data technology to track, screen priority (cases), and effectively forecast the development of the epidemic in real-time. Strengthen the information link between... public security and transportation, and other departments, urging them to share train, flight, communication, and medical data".

BlueDot, an AI-based company in Canada, is reportedly using AI-powered algorithms to analyze information from a multitude of sources to identify disease outbreaks and forecast how they may spread. Predictions turned true last year when BlueDot sent a warning to all its customers to avoid Wuhan (City where the disease originated). The company believes that this type of predictive technology is very crucial for all.

With the help of AI, doctors can uncover new insights in data, which can help in better understanding a patient's condition. This, eventually, provides more accuracy and prediction of the patients' health, hence diagnosis happens more strategically with a better and more advanced plan of action for treatment.

At a time when the medical industry is undergoing drastic changes, AI is bringing in the change to improve all aspects of patient care and enhanced clinical collaboration. At HPE, the OEM team has been consistent in driving innovation and Machine Learning that has opened up an accelerated path to stay ahead of the competition and further enhance the value of healthcare solutions.
