With a global presence in over 100 countries, TD SYNNEX GCC can confidently offer to support and scale your business internationally, with the backing of HPE OEM Solutions. We had a chat with Louie Clarke, Senior Business Manager at TD SYNNEX GCC, to understand how the company is helping OEMs and independent software vendors (ISVs) adapt to emerging market trends, accelerate time to market, and reach new target audiences.

Hi Louie, thanks for joining us todaylet’s dive right in. Does TD SYNNEX Global Computing Components (GCC) specialize in any types of services or customer sectors?

Hi, thanks for having me, it’s great to be here. I want to start with a quick introduction to my business unit. Global Computing Components (GCC) is a specialized business unit within TD SYNNEX, where we work with a focused portfolio of industry-leading software and hardware partners to design and build custom solutions. We enable our partners to bring validated, integrated solutions to market quickly and efficiently.

All of this is underpinned by our state-of-the-art integration facilities and global logistics capability. This is particularly important to our ISV partners who are looking to take the guesswork out of deploying their IP on turnkey appliances, want to reach a wider customer base, and reduce time to market.

How does TD SYNNEX GCC support OEMs generally in bringing their solutions to market?

Our partners are looking for a strong global presence and deep technical expertise, and we definitely fit the bill. At TD SYNNEX GCC, we are in charge of fulfilling and supporting our partners’ integrated solutions. We take great pride in putting solutions together and delivering them anywhere in the world.

The fact that we can provide quality technology from HPE to power software solutions is a big plus for our partners. This frees up time for them to focus on developing their innovations and driving product demand.

How does HPE’s Virtual-OEM offering help you and OEMs adapt to evolving market trends?

HPE Virtual-OEM (V-OEM) is a great offering. It grants a great deal of flexibility to OEMs to decide how they will use the channel to take their IP to market. Being able to build a stable appliance, based upon a fixed bill of materials for reliable HPE hardware, all while relying on HPE’s global support network, massively reduces the burden on our ISV partners.

The value of HPE V-OEM lies in allowing our partners to maintain ownership of their IP while reducing the time and resource spent managing hardware and onsite support, which they outsource to us. HPE V-OEM also gives a choice of three transaction models, which gives ISVs full control over IP and license billing. Whether they want billing to be handled by their distribution partner, reseller, or directly by end users, there is a model to accommodate their preference.

Where do you see OEM and software innovator trends going in 2024 and how is TD Synnex GCC ensuring it supports these opportunities with HPE?

I predict that edge computing will become increasingly important as we see more Internet of Things (IoT) devices and real-time analytics applications emerge. This will be driven by the evolution of AI and ML, which will continue to change the way people access and interact with data. We're already seeing these trends playing a key part in all industries from healthcare to smart retail.

At TD Synnex GCC we are committed to expanding our partnerships with leading OEMs (like HPE OEM Solutions), software innovators, and cloud providers to stay ahead of the curve. This will enable us to offer our customers a broader range of solutions and services. By anticipating and adapting to these trends, TD Synnex GCC is well positioned to support our customers' evolving needs and help them unlock the full potential of their IT infrastructure.

Thank you for your time and sharing what goes on behind the scenes at TD SYNNEX Global Computing Components (GCC). Find out more about a partnership with the company here.
