SixSq revolutionizes the relationship between cities and citizens with HPE OEM Solutions

If you’re a driver, you’ve likely encountered black rubber tubes rolled out across intersections for vehicles to pass over. Connected to a box on the side of the road, these devices gather and hold data on how many vehicles are passing through a road at any given time.

While these tubes can provide city planners with a multitude of important data points that they need for critical studies, SixSq has found a smarter, more efficient way to collect and manage this type of data. “By recording in real-time and creating actionable metrics that can be relied upon, manual studies are not required anymore,” remarks Marc-Elian Bégin, SixSq CEO and co-founder. Predictive maintenance is also easier and safer with SixSq solution, as noise and vibration levels provide engineers with the information they need without requiring them to enter the tram for a physical inspection.
