A question about 11.23

Hi all
I got a 11.23 installation DVD and on its log it says " for IA and HP 9000"
So I think it can be used to install a 11.23 on B2000 workstation which is a PA system
And when I successfully installed one
But when I copied the DVD to my ignite server
the problem came:
1.I start up a B2000 system and went into BHC and press bo lan. install
it can't see the 11.23 entry!
2.I can use it install a IA system by the way

So can you help me?

Hi,

That's because 11.23 aka 11iv2 is officially not supported for 9000 workstations. But I know a few members who have installed it successfully on c-class workstations.

Shalom Wang,

You can install 11.23 on certified PA-RISC (HP-9000) and Itaniuma (IA) systems.

This thread covers that topic.

If the B2000 is not on the list 11.23 won't work.

I've successfully installed 11.23 on B2000 system the CPU of which is PA-8500
So you can try it
