An atdd driver for HPUX 11i v3

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is an "atdd" driver for HPUX 11iv3?

I have tried to install "atdd.5.5.0.49" but swinstall gives an error:
"Currently, there are no products on this source which are compatible with the target. Therefore, no products are shown."

I was able to install tapeutil version 4.3.2.0 fine. The tape library I'm working with is a "3584".

Any help would be great

Probably a good idea to ask the vendor who supplies this software

There's no mention of an 11i v3 release of the atdd driver from IBM that I could find. The 5.5.x.x rev is 11i v2 Itanium specific while rev 5.6.x.x is 11i v2 PA-RISC. Check with IBM's support regarding when a driver to support 11i v3 will be available.

Download atdd.5.6.0.61.bin:
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/HPUX/11i_PCI/atdd.5.6.0.61.bin

# swinstall -s /tmp/atdd.5.6.0.61.bin

Options --> Change Options ...
[X] Allow installation of incompatible software

Thanks for the advice. I contacted IBM and they will not have a driver ready for 11i v3 until Q1 2008.

I was wondering if I could just create a symbolic link for the changer "/dev/rmt/9chng" to "/dev/rac/c22t3d1" which is the only device name I see for the changer? Would this trick "tapeutil" into working?
