Can a C160 workstation run UX 11.0 64-bit?

Does anyone know if a HP C160 workstation can run UX 11.0 64-bit? If so, is there a specific 'model' level that it needs to be at? We would like to use this as an Oracle 8.1.7.0.0 64-bit test system.

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

Yes, the 9000/780/C160 will support either 32- or 64-bit kernels. See /etc/.supported_bits.

YES!

I have a C240 and one of the technical docs i have printed mentions C160 and above as supporting 64bit.

The C160 will support 32 or 64 bit but the C160L will only run 32-bit. Also, if you have any EISA cards in your box, you must remove them to run 64-bit.
