Re: cfscluster config -t 900 -s crashes one node in the cluster.

This is usually down to patches.

Have you installed all the required patches mentioned in the release notes:

If you have v1 of the Serviceguard Storage Management Suite (CFS):

http://docs.hp.com/en/T2771-90030/T2771-90030_1.pdf

see p27-29

If you have v2 of the Serviceguard Storage Management Suite (CFS):

http://docs.hp.com/en/T2771-90036/T2771-90036_2.pdf

see p31-32

I agree with the patch recommendation.

This site bundles the required patches for either SMS Suite version that your cluster is using:

Re: cfscluster config -t 900 -s crashes one node in the cluster.

Dear,

I have applied all the patches, and the problem still not resolved. then I logged the call with hp. They recommended the resinstallation. As FIS may have more then one inconsistencies. SO i am in process of reinstallation. Once it is done. I will update my queustion.

Re: cfscluster config -t 900 -s crashes one node in the cluster.

Dear,

I have re-intalled the whole os and sw and applied the recommended patches. Still both nodes crash on cfscluster config command.

Any suggestion.

Re: cfscluster config -t 900 -s crashes one node in the cluster.

I would check the SF-CFS-pkg package log file to get the more details as why CVM startup is failing.

What do you get with
# vxdctl -c mode

Re: cfscluster config -t 900 -s crashes one node in the cluster.

Try to install CFS system multinode package by increasing the time out value.

Re: cfscluster config -t 900 -s crashes one node in the cluster.

Dear ALL,

Thanks for the suggestions. We finally logged a call with HP. It went to L3 Support. The consultant has modified some files to enable SG to work with CFS.

Regards.

Shardha.
