cmcheckconf showing LAN problems

Hi,
when trying to add a node into the cluster,
I receive the following kind of errors with cmcheckconf:

Error: Non-uniform connections detected,
luxtc1 lan3 successfully received from luxmc3 lan1
but luxmc3 lan1 did not receive from luxtc1 lan3.
This is probably due to heavy network traffic or heavy load on luxtc1.

The network probing with the existing hosts seems to work in one direction but not into the other.

For my better understanding:
what are actually the underlying network commands used in cmcheckconf ?

Thanks,
Matthias

Re: cmcheckconf showing LAN problems

Hi Matthias,

The "Non-uniform connections detected" error is usually the result of a
misconfiguration of a network component. The dominant errors are
mismatching speed/duplex of a LAN NICs and assigning the same MAC (link
level) address to more than one NIC (Network Interfact Card).
