connection closed by foreign host
Hi,
I just upgraded one of my workstation here from 10.20 to 11.x using swgettools command. It was a successfull upgrade except this one.
Whenever I tried to telnet from a different workstation to the newly upgraded machine I'm receiving this error:
Trying...
Connected to humpback.pa.itc.hp.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
telnetd: /dev/pts/t0: No such file or directory
.
Local flow control off
Connection closed by foreign host.
I tried to run already "insf -e" thinking that it would help and also my nstrtel kernel parameter is already set to 60 but no luck at all.
I would really appreciate if someone could help on this. Thanks in advance
Joey

Re: connection closed by foreign host
Instead of just insf -e, why don't you first try checking out this url, it may help you:

Re: connection closed by foreign host
Rita,
I tried to run these from the site you provided and it did'nt work. Instead, after I telnet from the other workstation on the machine that I upgraded and has the telnet problem rebooted by itself on which I have to run fsck.
At first, after issuing a telnet command from the other workstation the workstation that was upgraded ang has telnet problem got hung and reboot by itself. It's a good thing that this is a test machine only.
Any toughts?
Thanks Again
Joey
