connection trough a modem

This is my problem:
I have a k380 server installed with HP-UX 10.20.
I wanna to log the server trough an MDP(Modem Multi Port RS 232-C FULL MODEM)when I dial the phone line connected to it, I'm using a robotics modem which gives 56k rate, the MDP is connected to a card Modem Connect MUX J2094A.

In other words I wish to configure a port of the MDP as dial in modem.

Any help is really appreciated

Re: connection trough a modem

I don't know whether your modem port will support a 56K spped or not. Your best bet is to set the speed to 9600 baud. In /etc/inittab change the setting of the particular port to respawn and 9600 baud. If your cables are okay you should get a login prompt.
