Disable Options from CDE

Hello together,

my question is if it is possible to disable the "Options" Pulldown Menu from the CDE.
There is already a solution posted by Alex Glennie but unfortunately it didn't work that way :-(
Please post any solution infos.

Are you talking about the "Workspace Menu" when you rightclick the background? If so this is configurable from ~/.dt/dtwmrc

If not, then how do you call up the menu ?

Hi Graham,

thanks for your answer, but i'm not talking about the workspace menu but about the initial CDE Screen when you're loggin in to an HP Workstation (where you are entering Username / Password)

Hi Fraenky,

Not what you want to read, but I've had a look through the CDE 1.0 Advanced User's and System Administrator's Guide and there is no indication in there that it is possible to disable the options. If it were possible, I'm sure it would be in the guide.

If you're using a later version than 1.0, report back and maybe someone can help.

Can you post the link to Alex's solution? Alex is usually right on with CDE questions so I'd like to take a look at it to see if there isn't some confusion about what he intended.

It looks to me like Alex's solution should work. Did you select the correct &LTLANG value?

Hello Pete,

i did exactely what Alex proposed ($LANG is "C" btw) but it didn't work out whereas a change of Dtlogin*greeting.labelString: takes place immediately after a reset.
Actually the entries i've made in /etc/dt/config/C/Xresources look like that:
Dtlogin*greeting.labelString: Hello at %LocalHost%
Dtlogin*options_menu.sensitive: False
Dtlogin*help_button.sensitive: False
(The last two are the ones Alex proposed)

Any more ideas ?
