Re: eased2 down, file I/O failed

Found this in the TKB (Doc. #A4391480). It appers to be from 1997 for HP-UX 9.??. I hope this helps you.

Problem Description

When I run eased2, the following error displays:

eased2 ... File I/O failed

What is causing this error?

Configuration Info

Operating System - HP-UX
Version -9.01
Hardware System -735

Solution

The reason for the error is the file /usr/HPEASE/config/eased2.dat has become corrupted.

The solution is to copy a previously saved copy over it. Copies can be found under:

/usr/HPEASE/hours.db/1995xx/yy/01/

where

xx is the month
yy is the day of month

Re: eased2 down, file I/O failed

Thanks Patrick!

I found all the file in /usr/HPEASE/hours.db/

but which directory shall I copy to?

Re: eased2 down, file I/O failed

I honestly don't know. I was just going by the document from the TKB. I would search the system and try to find the appropriate place to copy the files to.

Hi, Patrick

How can I get this doc, this is my first time

Thanks!
