I have a PA-RISC server running HP-UX 11.11 that has been imaged with an Ignite Golden image. We seem to be having issues with DCE starting up on this system.
See Below:
#/sbin/init.d/dce start
Beginning DCE startup...
NOTE: No components of DCE are configured.
Finished DCE startup.
I checked /opt/dce/sbin/dce for dce related binaries and they are in this directory.
Has anyone run into this or have any ideas to resolve this?
Thanks in advance....

Hi,
Did you run "dce_config"?
http://docs.hp.com/en/B3190-90076/ch06s03.html#d0e3267
Starting dce_config
Log in as root on the system you want to configure.
Run dce_config.
The DCE Main Menu is displayed.
DCE Main Menu (on hostname)1. CONFIGURE -configure and start DCE daemons2. START -re-start DCE daemons3. STOP -stop DCE daemons4. UNCONFIGURE -remove a host from CDS and SEC data-bases5. REMOVE -stop DCE daemons and remove data files created by DCE daemons99.EXITselection:

Re: Error trying to start DCE on HP-UX 11.11
dce_config did the trick.
I stopped/started it and it started up with no errors or failures.
Very strange, as I checked my /etc/rc.log and it didn't have anything saying it failed when the system booted last. I appreciate your help and I should be all set.
Thanks,
KPS
