Event Monitor Messages using Fibre Channel and SAN
We are using a Tachyon TL Fibre Channel card with SAN.
Event Monitor keeps sending messages of :
Hardware Status: (not present in log record).
SCSI Sense Data: (not present in log record)
Along with some of:
Message in ll_msg (set: 16 msg: 0) did not exist in catalog.
Catalog type is MONITOR_INFO
Catalog version is A.01.00
Module name is disk_em
Message set number is 16
Message number is 0
Message size is 60
The messages are periodic, but everything to my knowledge is ok. Is there a patch, or a fix to this?
Using HP-UX11.
Thank you.

Re: Event Monitor Messages using Fibre Channel and SAN
You would need to upgrade the TL driver to at leats version 4 (available on the hp software site, ) and the newest SUpport Tool Manager Diagnostics set.

Re: Event Monitor Messages using Fibre Channel and SAN
it looks like if you have a corrupted version of diagnostic, because of the EMS entries. I would recommend to update to the current version of Online Diagnostic (Support Plus) from IPR0301 available e.g. from http://www.software.hp.com/SUPPORT_PLUS/
N.B.: If all patches are installed, this can be done online on HP-UX 11.0.
