Exceed is too slow
We have application which is opening through Exceed . It is running too slow for opening . There is no problem of application As it is fast on the test server . Seems the problem is i guess in network or the x-protocol in unix box(HP-UX B.10.20 A 9000/800 )
Can any one tell what i have to check .
Waiting for ur reply to get rid of this situation

Re: Exceed is too slow
I'm just venturing a guess but is the system you are trying to display the application on in your DNS and reverse IP tables? If it's slow in starting this sounds like the HP-UX box is trying to do a reverse lookup but timing out after 70 - 90 seconds.

Re: Exceed is too slow
You can improve the performance of an X application by reducing the number of colours or Resolution of your display.
You also didn't say wich X-server your using. The best way to improve performance is to not use a CDE-desktop, instead set your Exceed up to do "multpile" windows, login via telnet/SSH, and then "push" the X-application back to your local display.
