Extract Files from Ignite Image
Dear All Professionals
I am in a critical situation and want to extract files from an ignite image made for hp-ux 11.11 box. Unfortunately, there is no any other backup available for this machine except this ignite tape. How to restore some file systems from this tape quickly????????????????????????
All replies will be highly appreciated.

Re: Extract Files from Ignite Image
Hi,
Try this for /etc/lvmtab, substitute your filename as necessary
(1) mt -f /dev/rmt/0mn rew
(2) mt -f /dev/rmt/0mn fsf 1
(3) tar xvf /dev/rmt/0mn etc/lvmtab
Use the no-rewind device 0mn or ?mn whatever the case may be.
Hope this helps.
