I'm running omniback II in a L2000 w/HP-UX 11.0
I've got 2 100baseT Lan cards. I'm using one of them to backup servers over the network. I was thinking if it is possible to configure both lan cards as a unique Fast Ether Channel (FEC), having a single IP address and increasing the backup throughput to 200mbps.
Does anybody know if HP-UX can cope with this?
Thanx & regards,
Juan Carlos.

Also, check the following Release Notes for the support Information (Very Important as APA is not supported on every Hardware)

Re: Fast Ether Channel & HP-UX
HP supports it, and with at least Cisco switches that support it.
BTW: You will never reach 200mbs, maybe close to 170mps.

Re: Fast Ether Channel & HP-UX
I am already doing this with my OmniBack using APA software. This helps the most on the host(s) with the media agent(s) to keep high-speedtape devices like DLT's streamimg.

Re: Fast Ether Channel & HP-UX
You have it, but please make sure you have installed all of the latest patches. As someone noted, please read this document:
