Can someone please advice, I'm trying to install a HSC fibre channel card on to a D-Class Server. The part number of the card is A3591B. I have gone through sam kernel parameter and found that the respective drivers are not present, ( fcT1_fcp, fcT1_cntl,
fcT1,fcp,fcpmux)And I also check on the kernel configurable parameter that the option for num_tachyon_adapters are not present. Please help ???

Re: fibre channel card on HP Unix 11.00
Thanks for the info, but as I have mention before, I cannot find the driver or the software for the fibre channel card part no : A3591B on the HP UX version 11.00 application CD at all. The date of the application CD I have is dated December 2000. Please advice.
Regards
Vincent

Re: fibre channel card on HP Unix 11.00
The filesets you require are on the CORE/OS
CD. Try looking in swremove under 'HPUXEng64RT'
this will show you the software if it installed,
if not run swinstall and the filesets should
listed under there.
You need to set the num_tachyon_adapters
kernel parameter to the number of fibre
channel cards installed on your system.
There is also a patch that you should install,
and that is PHKL_21834.
After installing everything, your ioscan should
look something like below.
fc 1 10/12 fcT1 CLAIMED INTERFACE HP Fibr
e Channel Mass Storage Adapter
lan 2 10/12.5 fcT1_cntl CLAIMED INTERFACE HP Fibr

Good Luck
