ftp one day files

Hi all,

I need a script which can ftp one day files from subfolders to target folders.

Directory structure is :

/AB/AB1
/AB/AB2
/AB/AB3

target folders
/BA/BA1
/BA/BA2
/BA/BA3

You don't mention which machine has which directories.

As Steven asks, is "one day files", one day old, or one day's files?

Perhaps you should be looking at rdist?

Whatever you written is not a professional way. Don't be offensive. Try to understand what Steven said. It will not take much time for people to provide a script. They encourage you people to practice to write these kind of small scripts so that you can be good in script as well over a period of time.

You write a small script with some logic and get help from people.

start by (better) defining what it is you need to do.

For example:

In your original post, you mentioned: "/AB/AB1, /AB/AB2, /AB/AB3"....are these directories, or files?

If directories, do you need to look in each and find files, or can they just be sent?

Define "one-day files" (one day old, one specific day, last 24 hours, more than 24 hours old)?

What (if anything) have you tried?

I (briefly) considered trying to be more
helpful, but my psychic powers were too weak
to tell me what you really wanted to do
(other than to get someone else to do your
work for you, of course). As all replies so
far seem to suggest, you haven't specified
the problem well enough to let anyone do your
work for you, even if someone wished to do
so.

If you donâ t like his/her advice then keep quite or see what other peoples are saying or you give reply him/her in a gentle way.
