Re: HELP UNIX Formatted floppies
You can use RawWrite, http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/rawwrite.htm, on your PC to make an iso file of the floppy and then ftp it to your C160. From there I believe you can mount the iso file via a loopback. I'm sorry but I don't know the details. I've done it a time or two on linux, but never on hpux.

Re: HELP UNIX Formatted floppies
I've been looking around and I don't think HPUX has a loopback driver, so even if you can get an ISO file from floppy, you'd have to use a linux box to mount it. The only other program that I can think of is winimage. http://www.winimage.com/winimage.htm
Be sure to write protect the floppy.
Good luck,
Tom

Re: HELP UNIX Formatted floppies
- possibly Cygwin utilities (www.cygwin.org) might read the floppy, but I haven't done this
- possibly you could just download Linux, install on a spare machine, and perhaps then you could get Tom's method to work (hi, Tom, you're correct about your hunch :)
- is there any possible way you could get it sent to you in a different medium?
- possibly there's someone else at work/in your geographical area who could read the floppy for you and give it to you on tape/mail/FTP
There's always a way.
Best,
Mic

Re: HELP UNIX Formatted floppies
http://www.unixguide.net/hp/faq/5.8.2.shtml
The dosif commands are very slow; a faster alternative that can handle
long filenames and also works with ZIP drives and similar devices is
the free Mtools package, available from the HP-UX Porting and Archive
Center and http://www.artwork.com/eesof/mtools/download.htm
Hope this helps,
Thierry
