How to Change the Time & Date in MP

Hi,..

How to change a date & time in MP ( RX, RP, SD)
series servers... Console time is ok, but MP is wrong...

I tried with date command thro MP... But is not success... In case with date command, what is the exact command including switches...

Usually the MP should be running in UTC timezone, as that's what the machine's internal clock uses.

Compare the time displayed by the "date -u" command to the time of the MP. If they match, the MP time is OK.

The Unix family of operating systems was designed to accommodate world-wide operations across multiple timezones, so the internal system clock was based on UTC (originally GMT, which is effectively the same thing).

The UTC time is the only widely known unambiguous way to specify time when you must take into account different timezones and that various countries may switch between standard time and DST time at different days.

As the UTC time never switches to DST, its use makes logging much simpler to implement.

Hi...

In RX-7640 & 8640 servers MP date & Time is changing with Date command... It is ok...

I want for RX-66XX,RX36XX, & RP-44XX servers... With date cmd there is no option like, Change date or time?....

Pls do the needfull!...

Yes, you can check with he command which is stands for "help" from any GSP.

Hi..

In Rx-6600, Rx-3600, RP-4440 servers MP, don`t having date & time changing option...
it is just showing the current date & time... Nothing more than that...
I saw all the options in MP... (including help)
