Hi,
I have hear there are ways by which one can install HPUX system from LAN. I
am in the learning phase of HPUX. Please let me know if there is any procedure for
this.
Also, where can I find the basic system administration guide for HPUX 10.20 and
HPUX 11.x systems.
Thanks
Peter

Solution
Peter,
Installing via the lan is done with a product called Ignite/UX. You can download it from here:
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/index.html
Your documentation needs can be met by visiting docs.hp.com, in particular these sites:
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/os/11i/index.html
-and-
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/os/11.0/index.html
As 10.20 is obsolete (since June) I wouldn't bother spending too much time learning about it - better to concentrate on 11.x releases, but you can find 10.20 docs here:
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/os/10.x/index.html

Re: How to Install from LAN
Peter,
with Ignite/UX installed, after connecting network cable to primary 10BaseT port, you can interrupt boot ISL by typing:
bo lan.131.198.140.150 install (replace with IP address of server you'd like to install from). Type "No" to interact with IPL, then install from there or use remote GUI.
