How to interrupt the startup?

How do I interrupt the startup of HP-UX on a HP9000-725 workstation? I have miss configured the IP address of this work station and now during the startup process the NFS service is hanging up forever. I have tried the ctr-alt-brk keyboard combination with no results. I am unable to get to a login prompt to fix the IP address. I am locked out.

Hi Jim:

Try using the Control + pipe (|) key sequence.

You could also boot up in single user mode, mount /usr and 'vi' the necessary configuration file to disarm the modules you are not ready to configure.
