Re: HP-UX V3
All of the above mentioned servers can run 11.31 OS.

Note, that upgrade-ux is not used much by systems administrators. Better to do a cold install followed by reinstallation of applicaiotn software and data migration.
Before you make your move make sure your applications are fully supported.

Re: HP-UX V3
You may want to run the msv2v3check utility to check your systems, including SAN devices. It is available at:
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=MSV2V3Check
There is some documentation about these requirements at:
http://docs.hp.com/en/oshpux11iv3.html#Storage%20Area%20Management
in particular the "HP-UX 11i v2 to 11i v3 Mass Storage Stack Update Guide".

Re: HP-UX V3
Anyway you have to read HPUX11v3 Release Notes.
There are a good script, named: "msv2v3check", prepared to inform you about any possible troubles that can arrise on your current system after upgrade.
/look at "Mass Storage Stack Upgrade Guide"/
