Re: HPUX 11iv2 and 11iv3
Difference between HPUX 11iV2 and V3 many,
actually HPUX 11iV3 is more advance then V2 and one point is that if u look at kernel parameters are less as compared to V2.
for more details Please look below thread

Re: HPUX 11iv2 and 11iv3
LVM daemon is nothing but the Logical Volume Manager.

Re: HPUX 11iv2 and 11iv3
Major difference is benifit of agile naming view of device files. Both legacy and persistent can be used simultaneously to access mass storage devices. It meant auto multipathing using persistent dsf was new in 11iv3. Multipathing concept was always there from begining, but were done manually using vgextend and all.
dvd clon
ioscan -m dsf
persistant and legacy names
nwmgr
swconfig
check_patches
LVM v.2 volume group
lvmadm -t
>> 2)what is LVM daemon
# ps -ef |grep -i lvm*
>> 3)how to create depot
Refer #man swa
#man swpackage

Re: HPUX 11iv2 and 11iv3
I am sorry to say this but, I should say.
I understand that you are expecting the answers like a capsule. I would help you to find exact answer for question 2.
but if you asked question 2, I believe you may not be able to understand the answers of 1 and 3 even if I explain.
Answer to q -2

Re: HPUX 11iv2 and 11iv3
You need to some reading yourself...
...Multipathing - DMP - in v3 allows not only failover/high availability, but also gives load balancing.
Also, I guess, v3 has LVM2...
The rest it's already mentioned...
Cheers!
