I have data protector installed on windows.
i'm getting the error "interprocess communication problem " each time i am trying to access the IDB.
i have checked the Task Manager but the dbsm.exe is not among the processes. so it seems i have problem with my IDB.
how can i solve this problem? do i need to recover? if yes how ?
thanks in advance.

Re: Interprocess communication problem
in the patch installation instructions there is the following section :
"If the patch is installed on the Installation Server system, then the clients except Cell Manager need to be upgraded using the Upgrade Client button in the GUI in order to apply the patch."
i have tried to search for the Upgrade Client button but i couldnt find it.
any idea about this??
Thanks a lot
