JetAdmin On HP-UX 11.

Hi guru,

I have problem to print from my network printer.
My network printer attached to JetDirect and install with JetAdmin in HPUX 11.
The problem is I can ping the printer but when i send test print from JetAdmin utilities, it won't work.
I try to restart the HPUX server, but it still same.
Please guide me, guru..

Reboot for such things is absolutely not required. What does following files say??
/var/adm/lp/log
Anything in syslog.log and dmesg??

Also what following command return?
lpnpadmin -v

here the output of lp log.
I cant run the command lpnpadmin -v?
where the command located?

There is nothing in log files.
The command is /opt/hpnpl/bin/hpnpadmin -v
"print_name/ip_address"

Also before you do that do as follows.
lpshut
lpsched -v

The command is hpnpadmin and is found in /opt/hpnp/bin/hpnpadmin. However, you are using the very obsolete JetAdmin software which was replaced in 1999 with HP Printer Installer (or hppi). Use hpnpadmin -v to check the printer.

But you should replace the non-Y2K compliant JetAdmin software with hppi. Get the latest copy from here:

You can also manually test the printer with hpnpf (see the man page).
