kcweb - /opt/hpwebadmin/lbin/web_or_tui: not found

Hi all:

HPUX 11.23 on rx2620.
Wanting to check out some kernel parameters.
I invoke the kcweb command and ti get the error message;
/usr/sbin/kcweb[31]: /opt/hpwebadmin/lbin/web_or_tui: not found.

I have checked 'swlist -l fileset | grep -i kernelcon' and I have the components.

So where are these files to allow me to execute kcweb?

Have you tried starting kcweb from SAM-> Kernel Config?
Was it working before?

Get the same results from SAM or command line.
Cannot answer if it was working before. I have come across this system after it was built.

try swlist -l fileset -a state | grep -i kernelconfig and see if all filesets are configured if not you can reinstall kcweb.

The main directory for kcweb is:

/opt/hpwebadmin/ (instead of /opt/webadmin on 11.11 and 11.22)


The swlist command reports kcweb as the following product:

KernelConfig B.11.23 Kernel Configuration

It is installed as a subproduct of the following bundle:

HPUXBaseAux B.11.23 HP-UX Base OS Auxiliary



What main files and directories does installing kcweb create?

You might wish to swverify the relavent components and swconfigure them if not correct.

I have verified they are configured (-a state)

I will be ignited the system later today or tomorrow, will see what happens then.

As mentioned, the OS believed the kcweb tools were installed, configured and available on the system. But looking in the /opt/hpwebadmin/lbin directory there were no files.

Did the re-ignite of the system as mentioned. (The re-ignite was for another reason.) The /opt/hpwebadmin/lbin files were back and kcweb is working.

Not sure what happened as I happened upon the situation and I was under a very short time constraint to resolve other issues with this server, hence no time for the research.
