Latest Version of Sysinfo

I have Sysinfo 2.04 version. Is there any current version after this?? If yes, can anyone tell me where to get one from??

Do we a similar script for solaris(I think that this is a wrong place for this question)

Re: Latest Version of Sysinfo

I did try this from Magnicomp. The latest they have is v4 but its only a 60 day license and it does not give the output in the desired format.

The one which i have know gives me the output in a HTML format and these files are transferred to a webserver once a month so that it can be viewed on a browser. This is pretty handy when you need system information of all servers at ur fingertips. I have a sample at the following url

http://myunixpage.dyndns.org

Can one one give similar tools for different flavors of unix. I am also looking at text to html converters so that I can convert the text output and display it on this page.

Any thoughts on this...

Re: Latest Version of Sysinfo

Whatever script you end up with, I would recommend modifying the script to allow for a '-w' flag to format the output in HTML automatically. Adding 'echo look here' > output.html is simple enough.

Good Luck!

Re: Latest Version of Sysinfo

I forgot to mention, if you use the sysinfo 2.04, you may want to copy and edit a version for output to your website. I don't like to advertise the permission settings on my security files or mailbox entries.

Hope this helps!

Re: Latest Version of Sysinfo

we use nickel - far better than sysinfo in that its all in html format, beautifully presented, and very very detailed info on all aspects of your HP server. We then use a web server to view it all.
