License Install

I have my Customer Identifier, for MirrorDIsk, Glance Plus, and MeasureWare. How do I add my license number?????

The easiest method is to run swinstall interactively. I assume you have a codeword or used the online codeword generation tools. You have to have a codeword specific to a particular CD Part No. Under swinstall -> Actions -> Add New Codeword

Hi Mike:

Run the GUI version of 'swinstall', load and reference the depot of the approprate CDROM and select "Actions" -> "Add New Codeword". You will be prompted for the necessary information.

You could also cheat and edit (carefully) '/var/adm/sw/.codewords'.

BTW, there is never a letter "o" in any of the codewords; it's always a zero (0) no matter what it looks like!

Hi Mike,

Try this,

Obtain codeword from HP Codewords
Insert the cd and start swinstall
Choose the Local CDrom as the source
Tab to Actions > Add New Codeword
Select the software and mark for installation
Tab to Actions > Install
