We have a K class machine with HPUX 11 install on it. Is it possible to use make_recovery from K class and restore it in Rp7400 machine?
Thanks in advance

Solutionyes you can try it but when you boot on the ignite tape you have to interrupt the booting sequence to process interactively with the recovery procedure...
normally if the hardware doesn't correspond to the machine where the make_recovery was made the boot sequence on the tape is automatically interrupt...

Re: make_recovery questions
But as Stf replied, you should give it a try.
More than that it won't work couldn't happen anyway.

Re: make_recovery questions
Its also possible this will fail after many hours of work.
Another option to consider is Ignite Golden Imaging. This is less hardware dependent.
Here are some links.

Re: make_recovery questions
Even you can do it :)
Better do not :)
Only suport Unix on RP7400 is 11.00 or later. Also on K server you have not PCI bus. Also 64 bit is a must.
Also patches , and drivers for new HW :)
