make_tape_recovery Hangs!!!

this is what happens when i try to run a ignite backup...

make_tape_recovery -x inc_entire=vg00

It just keeps hanging like this..what could be wrong? Any thoughts?

Your version of Ignite is really really old.. Current rev is 7.xx

Have you checked /var/opt/ignite/recovery/latest/recovery.log, may be there is some more detail about the error.

Have you ever run make_tape_recovery successfully on this server ??

It hangs at Checking Versions of Ignite-UX filesets so it could be ignite us issue as well, check all the filesets installed for ignite ux. Check the o/p of the following commands:

swlist -l fileset |grep -i ignite

swlist -l fileset -a state |grep -i ignite
