Hi all. I am getting "volume group x will be only partially included in System Recovery Archive" message from make_tape_recovery. Can anyone clue me in as to why? I am not using any exclude statements, and my tape media is much larger than my disks. I have included the command I run and then the recovery log.
Thanks in advance.
command:
/opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery -a /dev/rmt/0mn -x inc_cross=/

SolutionSome files might be open and active. Is application files also installed in vg00 ?
You better specify the following command:
make_tape_recovery -s myserver -x inc_entire=vg00

Re: make_tape_recovery
make_tape_recovery -a /dev/rmt/0mn -I -x inc_entire=vg00 -x inc_entire=vg01
However, I would also caution against doing this. The normal convention is to use Ignite for only your root volume group and use conventional backup/restore for your data.

Re: make_tape_recovery
make_tape_recovery -I -v -x inc_entire=vg00 -a /dev/rmt/0mn
-I for interactive restore
-v for verbose during the backup
